Passion Week: Monday

Jesus in his righteous anger cleared the temple because of His passion for the rightful and intended purpose of the temple.
Over time, the temple became a shortcut for people to save time walking through the city and place of profit, instead of being a place of worship and prayer.
The Bible tells us that if we are saved and belong to God, that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit :
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.
For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
I Corinthians 6:19-20
Perhaps beginning with today, we aught to pray and ask God to drive out that in our lives which out not to be there. Thoughts, actions, and desires that are not pleasing to Him or helpful in His purposes for our lives.
Our lives are to be in service to God and His will. We are to be good and faithful stewards to that which He has entrusted us. And, we are to be carrying our the great commission and spreading the Gospel whereever we go.
What is it that over time we have allowed to clutter our lives and take away from that calling on your life?
Or perhaps you have never given your life to God at all? Now would be a perfect time to call on God in repentance and faith, and allow Him to drive out the sinful master and consequence in your life, and allow Him to adopt you into His family.
Perhaps today is the day we allow God to drive out all that is not there, so that we can become all that God intended us to be.
